Based on performance data from the FCAT and the End-of-Course exams, as well as additional factors including graduation rate, performance in dual enrollment classes, student improvement ratings, and many more, Manatee School For the Arts earned an "A" grade for the 2010-2011 school year!! The school report card is based on academic achievement data taken from student performance on the FCAT in reading in grades 6-10, FCAT Math in grades 6-8, as well as End-of-Course tests in High School, writing in grades 8 and 10, and science in grades 8 and 11. Additional criteria such as graduation rate, growth of our lowest performing students, and participation in honors (Dual Enrollment) classes are included in the school grade. MSA students made marked improvements this year. See the "school profile" for specifics. Congratulations to everyone in the school - from students who worked hard, to the teachers who have put in countless hours preparing them for their assessments, and learning in general!! We are so proud of your efforts this year, and look forward to continuing to develop a quality education infused with the arts!!
