Due to no testing, Manatee School For the Arts has maintains a“B” Grade (based on 2018-2019 test data)School grades are based on State Test Scores, graduation rates, and performance in advanced classes such as dual enrollment, as well as other areas of performance. We made a 42 point gain from 2017-2018 to 2018-2019 and are 4 points away from earning "A" status!!We are proud of our students' accomplishments, and continue to work at improving student performance in all areas of their education.
Additionally, in January 2012, MSA was awarded 'High Performing' Charter School Status and we are recognized as a Gold Seal Charter School of Excellence by the Florida Consortium of Charter Schools.The school is accredited by AdvancEd.Based on performance data from the FSA and the End-of-Course exams, as well as additional factors including graduation rate, performance in dual enrollment classes, student improvement ratings, and many more, Manatee School For the Arts maintained a "B" grade since there was no testing in 2019-2020!!The school report card is based on academic achievement data taken from student performance on the FSA in English Language Arts (reading and writing) in grades 6-10, FSA Math in grades 6-8, as well as End-of-Course tests in High School in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, US History and Biology, as well as Civics in Grade 7. Students are also assessed in science in grade 8. Additional criteria such as graduation rate, growth of our lowest performing students, and participation in honors (Dual Enrollment) classes are included in the school grade.Congratulations to everyone in the school - from students who worked hard, to the teachers who have put in countless hours preparing them for their assessments, and learning in general!!
