    Physical Science & Physical Science Honors
     
    This multifaceted course focuses on labs, hands-on activities, arts assignments, group learning, and multi-media to explore the basics of chemistry and physics. Students actively participate in the exploration of these topics by specifically studying matter, work, energy, and the laws of motion. Topics include the scientific method, the metric system, classification of matter, states of matter, gas laws, properties of atoms, the Periodic Table, chemistry basics, force and motion, energy, electricity, magnetism and waves. An additional objective of this course is to provide multiple opportunities for students to fine tune laboratory skills and prepare students for success in future science courses.
