High School InformationMSA offers a complete high school program, ninth (9th) through twelfth (12th) grades. In addition to the core academic program, we offer students the opportunity to take several arts classes, as well as enrollment in college level Dual Enrollment courses and Advanced Placement classes. For the 2020-2021 school year, MSA has approximately 1000 students in our High School program. Class sizes are projected between twenty (20) and twenty-five (25) students per class. MSA uses a modified block schedule with four (4) ninety (90) minute periods of instruction per day. There are at least one hundred and eighty (180) days of instruction. MSA follows the calendar used by other public schools in Manatee County.
High School students can be involved in many clubs and activities throughout the year, including the National Honor Society, HEAT, Strikers, theatre and musical productions, Key Club, as well as have the opportunity to learn and socialize through school organized events and trips. Everything done at MSA has an academic focus, which particularly emphasizes arts infusion.
The staff of the High School is dedicated and committed to meeting the needs of all students, especially when it comes to learning style. Everyone continually evaluates and determines the best way to meet the needs of the students in our school.
