While school was off due to Hurricane Irma, Manatee School For the Arts Action Team was hard at work in the community helping to clean up and get back to normal. The Action Team, over two days, cleaned up debris in 4 different parks in Palmetto. A large number of studnets came out and supported this clean up effort, with 33 students coming on Saturday to the clean up activities.
Shirley Bryant, the Mayor of the City of Palmetto, came out on Saturday and brought lunch for these hard working students, to show her's and the city's apprication for their work.
Check out this link to the article that was in the Bradenton Herald about our kid's work, and the pictures below of them hard at work.
As a school and as a community, we are very proud of the Action Team students' dedication to others and their committment to service. Thank you Action Team!!
